A GASTRONOMIC STOP AT THE OSTERIA DI BROLIO

This year, spring has returned, overwhelming us with its colors and bursting with beauty and scents. When confronted by the magical spectacle of the rebirth of nature, the desire for trips to the countryside and new discoveries grows in everyone. For those who come to Brolio in search of nature and beauty, stopping off at the Osteria di Brolio is the perfect break. It is a haven for those who love good food, as it nestles amid the greenery on the slopes of the Castle, and is now surrounded by the spring splendor of Chianti Classico.

Open until November for lunch and dinner every day except Thursday, whilst enjoying its elegant and informal atmosphere you can sample the ever-changing range of dishes suggested by Chef Franco Sangiacomo, making it a new experience each time you go there. The keywords are: quality, research and region, all in combination with the great wines of Ricasoli. By carefully researching the best local ingredients which helps the short supply chain and by using seasonal products, including those from the Brolio vegetable garden, space and voice is given to the most authentic flavors of Chianti Classico and Tuscany, reinterpreted in a contemporary key. The Chef and his team offer dishes that leave their mark, always accompanied by the utmost professionalism and courtesy in the dining room.

The Chef’s proposed tasting menu was immediately confirmed, designed for all those who decide to rely on his creativity in a four-course voyage of discovery: a culinary journey that unveils new and surprising tastes at every stage. Franco Sangiacomo says “For the tasting menu we choose the courses according to the availability of the best raw materials, all seasonally produced by small, high quality, local producers, and inspired by the region. Each course is designed as a perfect accompaniment to the Ricasoli wines, for a complete tasting experience“.

Of course, it is also possible to choose from the à la carte menu in which there is no shortage of tasty meat dishes, fish from the nearby sea, vegetables directly from the gardens of the Castle, cheeses from local cheesemakers, extra virgin olive oil from Brolio and much more, to delight the palate of diners.

Starting with the menu choices, Chef Sangiacomo once again gives readers of Brolio Magazine a little surprise: two recipes to try to replicate at home following his suggestions step by step and to be paired exclusively with the wines of Ricasoli to bring to your tables the unique taste of the Castle of Brolio and Chianti Classico
